StarSense has been using an offset based "Sync" in the driver because the sync in the StarSense HC is badly broken for syncs when the mount has tracked past the meridian.
A Quick Align, starting with the mount at the index position, should be enough and you will save the two minutes that StarSense takes to do its alignment dance.
I was really thinking that the error in the Control Panel PlateSolve window could be specified in arcsec instead of pixels.
