I think you are in good company missing the point of what I am talking about. The issue isn't accuracy at all - and my mount is like many others in very repeatedly missing by the same amount in a sync/slew operation. My mount behavior is extremely precise - and inaccurate by a consistent amount. The sgp centering results capture that - but conform does not.
It is also odd that you would assume that all mid-range mounts behave mechanically as well as an avx.
None of this really matters since I never thought this was an ascom or sync problem - for my mount anyway. If things do end up pointing that way then I will need to look more into that as a factor.
