I think the better way to handle this is detecting that your mount goes off target, which is really what the culprit is here. For instance if your settle time is 30 seconds and you're guiding on close stars you may end up going off target accidentally even if you manage to settle in those 30 seconds. I don't think adding multiple options on controlling recovery is a great solution as it makes SGP more complex overall and less understandable for new users.
Probably the right way to solve this is to detect if [current position] > [Auto Center allowance] and if so trigger an auto center to get back on target. In addition to solving this issue it also takes care of other issues where scopes may drift. We actually have another request run auto center every X minutes but I think being more deterministic about it is likely the right way to go here.
